| SOL CLUB MELIA A new 304 rooms hotel the Sol Club Cayo Largo of the Melia hotel group opened in December 2000. It's West of the Gran Caribe hotels complex, next to Hotel Pelicano. Sol Club is separate from the Gran caribe hotels. The hotels all have direct access to the beach (a few stairs to go down) and they are grouped within a distance of approximately 2 km. The hotels are 5 to 10 minutes by car from the airport, and about 10-15 minutes from the village. They are all on the south coast of the island. |

Sol Club Cayo Largo (Melia) This new property of Cayo Largo opened in December 2000 . It's located on the west side of the Gran Caribe hotels complex, next to Hotel Pelicano. The rooms are distributed in several two-story villas. Kids 2-6 years stay and eat free. |

Hotel Pelicano The Pelicano is currently the most recent hotel in Cayo Largo. The rooms are distributed in several two-story building with colonial architecture. The rooms are either with an ocean, pool, or garden view. |

Hotel Isla del Sur The Isla del Sur was the first hotel built in Cayo Largo. The rooms are in a two-story building with a pool view. The reception for all the Isla del Sur resort is at this hotel. |

Villa Lindamar This complex is made of several individual cabanas on pile, with an ocean or garden view. |

Villa Soledad This hotel offers simple but comfortable accomodations. The rooms are distributed in small individual or semidetached villas. This hotel does not have its own pool and no restaurant and bar. You have to use the facilities of the nearby hotels. |

Villa Coral The rooms are distributed in several two-story building imitating a colonial village. The rooms have either ocean view, garden view or pool view. |

Villa Iguana The hotel is made of several two-story villas with ocean, pool or garden view. The villas have recently been refurbished and offer simple but comfortable rooms. |

Villa Capricho This complex is made of several individual cabanas. Some of them were renovated a couple of years ago, and in 2000 the oldest cabanas left were destroy and replace by new ones. Note that this hotel is home to many naturists. |

RIU Hotel (coming soon!) This hotel from the RIU hotel group is currently under construction. It's located East of the Gran Caribe Resort, after the Villa Capricho. The pictures from the photo album were taken in january 2001. |
