Playa Blanca, Playa Los Cocos and Playa Tortuga
These are endless beaches with mile after mile of fine sands and crystal-clear waters. This untouched natural environment provides refuge for hundreds of birds (such as sea gulls, pelicanos, cormorants, flamingoes, humming birds, etc.), iguanas and turtles. Big iguanas rest on the rocks overhanging the beach . Playa Blanca is the longest one and has tiny coves. Playa Los Cocos is so called for the shady coconut palms reaching over the frame and mast of an ancient shipwreck, its waters are shallow. At Playa Tortuga, hundreds of sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs on the bank . These three beaches are less wide than the ones at the West side of the Island (Paraiso, Sirena), but they offer the same quality of white sand, never too hot, and turquoise warm waters with a soft underwater incline.
