![]() This very large beach has many palm trees and no hotels along its 2 km of fine white sand. It's on the western side of the island and protected from the wind and surf. There is small quay where the excursion boats for the tourists coming from Varadero dock, that's why this beach can be a bit more crowed and more commercial. You will find there a restaurant, a bar, a souvenir shop, a full range of nautical sports and equipments, lounge chair rental, etc. There used to be a diving center at Playa Sirena but it was closed in 2001 Please note that people who stay at Cayo Largo will have to pay for meals and drinks because the restaurant and bar at Playa Sirena are not part of the all-inclusive package. |
To go there, 2 ways:

It is only a 15-20 minutes walk from Playa Paraiso to Playa Sirena, along the beach. Thus, taking the tractor/bus to Paraiso and walking to Playa Sirena for either lunch, or in order to take the taxi-boat back to the marina [or vice-versa], is also a nice alternative.
